EL MONTE, Calif., August 6, 2024 – Fujiwara Tofu Café hosts another unforgettable 86 Day to commemorate the iconic AE86. The annual event brought together a community of enthusiasts for the iconic Toyota model AE86. This year’s celebration was made special with the collaboration of @fujiwara.tofu.cafe for limited exclusive events only merch with @illest and @ae86_ratchet_club . 

The parking lot of Fujiwara Tofu Café transformed into a vibrant showcase of pristine AE86s, FRSs, BRZs, GR86s, and GT86s as the sun shone brightly over Southern California.

A surprising highlight of the night was the arrival of Sung Kang, known as Han Lue from the “Fast and Furious” franchise.  Attendees and fans watched in admiration as Kang pulled up in his very own Toyota Corolla GT-S, paying homage to the history of pop culture and motorsport. His presence brought the 86 Day celebration to life by introducing an additional layer of excitement and nostalgia. 

Throughout the day, Fujiwara Tofu Cafe’s delicious offerings of the special “Hachiroku” drink were enjoyed by car enthusiasts and owners as they mingled, shared stories, and admired each other’s vehicles. The resident DJ @armaria_24 and vendors @5586_designworks @cooled.collective @hwracetrack @diecastsupportgroup who came out and supported the event, also provided entertainment for the attendees. This special event demonstrated the camaraderie and mutual passion for the AE86 and its modern descendants, which was appreciated by enthusiasts of all ages.

The night came to an end with many people already looking forward to next year’s 86 Day. The event proved once again how the AE86’s legacy is still alive and thriving in the hearts of those who value the classic blend of performance, style, and culture that these vehicles represent.
