Being able to travel with my family is a blessing. We recently travelled to Hawaii to watch Brooklyn compete at the Aloha Gymnastics Festival. I wasn’t sure what to expect but it was an awesome feeling knowing that she was there with her team to represent a sport that she loves doing.

As a parent I try not to get caught up in being that overbearing parent who wants their kid to win at any costs. We see it way too often, those crazy parents who blames everyone but the child for not winning. Here’s how I see it, if your child is awesome, then count that blessing and congratulate them win or lose.

Brooklyn came away with a 1st place on the uneven bars and 3rd place all around. Congrats to her and all her team mates for doing an incredible job.
