“Just waking up in the morning gotta thank God. I don’t know but today seems kinda odd…”  – Ice Cube

Surprising enough, those were the lyrics I woke up to this morning as it blared on my iPhone’s alarm clock. I looked outside the window and to my surprise, nothing but sunshine and mild to hot temperatures at 7:30 in the morning. Let me remind you that San Francisco has had nothing but 55 degree temperatures with clouds and fog for the past 3-4 weeks. Instantly, I knew today was going to be epic. I had the privilege of christening the newly named Fatlace werehouse, The Paddock, with it’s first HellaFlush Photoshoot. I decided to step it up a bit and shoot not one, but three cars for your viewing pleasure. Johnny, Eric, and Vinh made the trip from Milipitas CA along the sketchy 101 freeway to give me a chance to shoot their rides. Hopefully you guys made it home ok with your front lips still intact…

Johnny’s S2000 reeks of class. Everything is very tastefully modded and most importantly, it’s sitting right. He is currently rolling on 18×10 Front and 18×11.5 Rear CCW LM20s, 245 tires in front, 285 tires in the rear, and dropped on Buddy Club Coilovers.

The aero consists of a Mugen-style hardtop, ASM rear spoiler, OEM AP2 front conversion with OEM lip, and APR carbon fiber mirrors. The stock steering wheel has been replaced with the classic Nardi steering wheel. I wonder how fun Johnny’s S2000 is on the straight away being that it is also equipped with a Greddy turbo and Ti exhaust system as well?

Next up, we have Vinh’s STi. Something about a bright red car that always grabs your attention. In Vinh’s case, EVERYTHING about his car grabbed my attention. I have been keeping my eyes on Vinh’s STi since the day he got and posted it on the forums. After not seeing it around for awhile, I saw it again at our recent HF6 BBQ in San Mateo. Not only was he rocking a newly purchased set of one of my all time favorite wheels but the color he decided to go with really set the car off right. He is running some 18×10 +21 Work VS-XXs in Burning Black wrapped in 255/35 Nexen N3000 rubber. I should of never sold the set I had. I’m an idiot…

I love the detail on this car. Vinh had alot of different grills and panels color matched to his body to give it a much cleaner look. The Chargespeed Carbon Fiber Lip kit sets the overall look of his STi off nicely. Take a look from the back and you are greeted with a Greddy Ti-C exhaust and polished Benen Tow hook. His stance is controlled by a set of BC Racing Coilovers, Whiteline Camber Plates, and SPC camber bolts. He is running a Megan downpipe for a mild upgrade until he can throw down some cash to really build his motor up. I’m interested in what he has in mind…

Last but definitely not least, we have Eric’s S2000. When he pulled up into the paddock, I knew there was a monster under the hood. His S2000 is powered by a Mase Engineering Turbo Kit (running at 11PSI), AEM EMS 1052, Berk 70mm High Flow Cat, Greddy Ti-C 70mm single exhaust, and tuned by Jason Oefelein @ Portland Speed Industries. An ACT HD Clutch Kit was installed to help handle the extra power. Like Johnny, Eric is rocking a set of CCW LM20s 18×10 Front and 18×11.5 Rear. Eric decided to go with the Matte Black finish along with Hancock V12 245 Front and 285 Rear tires. He is dropped on K-sport Pro Full Coilovers along with other suspension goodies such as a Cusco rear tie bar, Cusco front strut bar, and R&D factory x-brace. Stopping power comes in the form of Powerslot front and rear rotors equipped with Hawk HPS Plus pads all around.

The super clean styling of this S2000 is brought to you by a OEM AP2 Front Lip,  OEM trunk rear spoiler, OEM clear side markers, OEM Front bumper Plugs, JS2K Keyhole Covers, Coastal Metals Front Lip Protector, VIS Racing FRP Hardtop, Stubby S2000 Antenna, and of course tinted windows. His interior flaunted an AEM UEGO Gauge and AEM Tru-Boost Gauge housed in a Auto Meter Dual Gauge Pod. His steering wheel setup consisted of a Works Bell Quick Release, Flipper, and Short Hub mounted on a Nardi 330mm Deep Corn Steering Wheel. Overall, just an amazing street machine. Eric would like to give a special thanks to Portland Speed Industries (PSI).

I have never wanted a S2000 more until after today. Vinh has completely changed my mind about the new look of the STi wagon. I HATED IT when it first came out, I have now taken those words back. Big thanks to the guys for coming out today and bearing with the heat in the paddock. It was 93 degrees outside and easily about 100 inside the paddock. I’m sure you guys can wipe off the sweat with those HellaFlush Approved decals 😉
