Milan, Italy, February 21, 2012 – The new direction of Pirelli PZERO stems from an amalgamated vision of fashion and lifestyle; it allows for the exploration of new points of view to define new contours of reality. To commemorate the beginnings of a series of collaborations under the brand, Pirelli PZERO has teamed with renowned
Italian designer Diego Dolcini for two recreations of the iconic motorcycle boot and strapped sandal. With material and imagery inherent to the Pirelli brand, Dolcini executes a vision that embodies urban glamour: extreme femininity for the concrete jungle.

A purveyor and creator of some of the finest shoes in the world, Dolcini has worked alongside the likes of Emilio Pucci, Bulgari, Gucci, and Dolce & Gabbana. His understanding and ability to create strikingly beautiful pieces born from a myriad of influences rendered him the ideal collaborator.

The versatile PZERO biker boot functions an ode to dynamic metropolitan pragmatism. The classic PZERO strapped sandal on the other hand, serves as a contrasting balance of refinement and elegance. By combining the two, Dolcini allows glamour to infiltrate the territory of function. The red carpet then becomes
rubber carpet.
