adidas has teamed up with Parley for the “Run For The Oceans” campaign, a global running movement against marine plastic pollution. adidas will be donating $1 (up to $1 million) for every kilometer completed and logged via the Runtastic app from June 8 to July 8 to the Parley Ocean Plastic Program – which educates and empowers the next generation of Ocean Guardians through immersive experiences in the environment we are fighting to protect.

To celebrate this announcement adidas and Parley will be hosting 12 major running events across six key cities globally including Los Angeles this Friday, June 8. The LA event will take place at Temescal Park and the community is invited to participate and log together miles through the park, learn more about ocean pollution and its effects, and enjoy a live musical performance from a surprise guest.
