When you’re living in paradise, where do you go when you need a vacation from your vacation?  Maui!
Here’s some photos of our adventures…starting with the obligatory “I’m on a plane” photos.A beach cottage in Lahaina was our home away from home, but we were mostly out and about.Hana Highway is a scenic route from Kahului to Hana that is home to 620 curves over 68 miles.
So we decided to take the road less traveled and drive the Road to Hana backwards, stopping at some hidden gems along the way.Haleakala is a 10,000 foot volcano that makes up 75% of the island of Maui; it’s not a bad place to watch the Sun set and the Milky Way rise either.And last but certainly not least, I was able to get some photos of Kees Mashino’s 1969 Toyota Hilux!
