The Ruck Out presented by Cycle World magazine, Alpinestars, Honda Powersports, Illest Hawaii and Flexfit entered the Aloha State for the first time this past weekend. Perfectly timed with the new opening of Illest Hawaii located in Kaka’ako and with Pow! Wow! Hawaii!, which is an annual art festival that brings together artists from around the world to help beautify the city with their murals, the stage was set for a great event.

Open to all makes of scooters, mopeds, motorcycles and pretty much anything on two-wheels. But at the core of the event is the Honda Ruckus. Many owners brought out their modified mutations to showoff. A few Honda Grom owners even came out to join in. With a meeting place set the group rallied through the streets of Honolulu going through Waikiki and near Diamond Head before coming to rest at Kaka’ako at the Illest Hawaii storefront.

Participants were then greeted with a custom Ruck Out hat by Flexfit / Bascamp and Illest and entered for their chance to win many great prizes from generous sponsors including: Alpinestars (jackets, clothing, gloves), Scosche (headphone and boom bottle), Meguiar’s (DA kit), Arai (helmet), Two Brothers Racing (exhaust), Rokform (lightweight and super strong iPhone 5 case and handle bar mount), Illest gear and a grand prize of a $500 gift card to Best Buy. Special thanks to Wrenchwerks for their support of the event.

As a special treat, the Pow! Wow! School of Music entertained the crowd with a jam session that consisted of renown artist James Jean on trumpet, JPatt of the Knocks on turntables and Nick on sax and Andy on guitar from the Pow Wow School of Music.

Overall, it was a great event and the next Ruck Out is already in the works. Stay tuned for the video recap and check out more photos below.
