The last stop on our summer of travels is New York! First time back since May 27, 2006 to visit our little future Army guy in training at my alma mater…so many things have changed!
One thing I wish I did when I lived on this side of the country was spend more time in New York City, so this trip was like a new adventure!
New York Public Libary…some of the things we saw in there, might as well be a museum 😛
Brooklyn Bridge Park, offering an awesome view of Manhattan.
The High Line, a historic freight rail line converted to public park.
“The quickest way to make money at photography is to sell your camera…” or in this case, cut it up 😉
For a panoramic skyline view of the city, we chose the Top of the Rock over the Empire State Building…I think we made a good choice 😉
For a city that never sleeps, this is pretty quiet…
And one of the highlights of our trip…here’s us and some newly formed friends waiting for stand by tickets to the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon! So not only did we get in, I was the closest audience member to Tariq and The Roots, Questlove gave me a fist bump, and Jimmy pointed at me! Such an awesome experience!
Here’s the episode…can you spot me 😉
right on. my sister was born when my dad was teaching at west point, but i don’t remember shit from then.
Awesome!
Great post, looked like a good time!
