When I got the invite to an intimate concert in Japan with John Mayer I didn’t hesitate to book my flight as I knew it would be something close to spectacular. Tokyo, John Mayer, Friends.
What I didn’t expect was the 3 hour flight delay which got me to the event right before it started. Thankfully Japan has Uber and it got me from Haneda Airport to The Trunk Hotel in Shibuya in about 40 minutes with traffic.
He played some requests as well as some from his playlist but he also did a quick standup which got the 50 of us cracking up. I remember he did a couple of shows with Dave Chapelle and I heard those were awesome as well.
