My Granpda, Ralph F. Kling is an amazing human being, person, soldier and I’m proud to call him my Grandpa, he’s done so much for our country, his community and our family and potentially even you…
He’s lived and still living a very active and involved life being heavily involved currently with POW’s and Amvets affairs giving assistance to his peers that might be aware of government assistance, medical, support and more.
My Grandpa himself was a former Air Force pilot was a POW at Stalagluft III the move that The Great Escape was based on, yeah that one with Steve McQueen. he was in a POW camp for many months and was liberated once the war was over. He holds many accolades in war, professional and personal.
I’m so proud of him and our family, his wife my Grandma as they married now over 60 years ago his daughters my mom Janet and my aunt Joann, they’re all family and contribute to my being of whom I am and who we are as a family…
Back to my grandpa he’s been a principal of a high school, a teacher, football coach, baseball player and coach, worked at Hewlett Packard and so much more, I know I’m forgetting some stuff…
I’m writing this because as of recent hes helped commission and take part in a new memorial statue in San Diego at the new Miramar Cemetery….

After attending so many Padres games over the years with him he’s throwing out the 1st pitch…
