One of my favorite bands has always been The Postal Service, the musical duo of Ben Gibbard (Death Cab for a Cutie) and Jimmy Tamborello (Headset, Dntel) . The most fascinating thing about the band is how they produced their music, essentially becoming the reason behind their name The Postal Service. The two musicians lived in different locations so they would create their parts on the songs separately and then snail mail them to one another, eventually leading to the creation of their first album “Give Up”. My absolute favorite track by them is “Nothing Better” which features vocals by Jenny Lewis of Rilo Kiley.
