This year has taken me by surprise. I’ve exited the early 20’s age bracket and moved up a bit! I don’t quite know how I feel about it; all I know is I wasn’t looking forward to turning 26.

I was initially going to have a birthday dinner and leave it at that. Since I’m not getting any younger, and I adore the presence of people I truly care about, I canceled dinner reservations at Gordon Biersch and made a last minute reservation at Koji Sake Lounge for appetizers and drinks. Koji has made party planning a fairly large group of people so easy for someone like me. I can’t stand following up with the status of anything, Once I inquired, they replied back with a “YES.” Wah Lah!

Anyway, I celebrated my 26th with my very close friends, family, and my amazing boyfriend. You never realize how loved you are till you see how many people show up for your birthday. It was an exhilarating feeling. I had the time of my life!

I’ve dumbed down on taking photos lately, hence the lack of posts. However, I always make it a deal to take a group photo at gatherings. I pulled out my tripod at the bar and set up shop like we owned the place. Thank you Koji Sake Lounge for taking care of us!

If you’re looking for fun and exciting birthday celebration ideas, consider axe throwing with your friends and family. Together, you’ll hurl axes in a chill and fun environment, cheer each other on, and focus on being in the moment!
