With the World Cup right around the corner and after introducing the Tiempo Premier, Nike’s first football (soccer) shoe, Nike looks to keep the legacy alive with the release of the Tiempo ’94 and Tiempo Legend V. The Tiempo ’94 is a classic style that draws heritage from the original boot, while the Tiempo Legend V brings a new innovation to the pitch. Both shoes showcase the importance of design in football to change the way the game is played.

I’ve always loved the classic silhouettes and feel of football shoes after playing both indoor and outdoor soccer for years growing up. Back then (aging myself a bit) there were only other brands readily available in the market and I remember when Nike came out with some new fresh designs that changed the game. The attention to detail in both of these new designs is great from the Phylon midsole for lightweight cushioning to the Tiempo Legend V’s use of Nike Hypervenom to bring the foot closer to the ball.
