HONOLULU, Hawaii (February 14, 2012) – Style writer East 3 is pleased to announce his art exhibition “Sabali” at the Joseph Watson Collection Gallery from March 2 to March 30, 2012 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The exhibition will include murals, canvases, illustrations, and sculptures done in a variety of mixed media including spray paint, paint markers, color pencils, and metal. In addition to his original artwork, East 3 is collaborating with P.H.A.S.E. 2, Duke King, Ras Oner, and TNES on several works.

Unveiling will be held on Friday, March 2 from 6-10 pm and coincide with Zappos’ First Friday event, the monthly celebration of arts held in the Las Vegas downtown Arts District.

East 3′s featured artwork for this exhibition is a collaboration piece with his mentor and friend, the legendary P.H.A.S.E. 2. Limited prints of King Tech’s W.A.I.L.. (When Art Imitates Life) Project x East 3 “Greatest Hip-Hop Producers, Volume 1″ tribute art will also be available at the show.

The inspiration for this art exhibition stems from Hip Hop recording artist NAS & reggae artist Damian Marley’s song called “Patience” which includes the chorus of “Sabali” from the Bambara, West African language meaning “patience” or “wisdom”. East 3′s collection honors all forms of Spirituality and Ancestral beliefs and also reflects on his interpretation of Style Writing (aka Pyroglyphiks).
