Charlotte, NC – Nelson Piquet Jr.’s Chevy Silverado will carry a unique Breast Cancer Awareness livery on October 6th as he takes on the rest of the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series drivers at Talladega Superspeedway.

The unique collaborative effort between Alpinestars and famed New York based graffiti artist Claw Money will emblazon Piquet Jr.’s truck with bold pink graphics referencing breast cancer awareness and Claw’s eponymous mark. Designed by ClaudiaGold, AKA Claw Money, the livery is a fusion of art, motorsports and charity designed to heighten awareness for breast cancer research and the quest for a cure. The truck livery will be accompanied by a custom Alpinestars race suit that will also feature elements of the pink Claw design and Claw’s interpretation of the pink ribbon.

Additionally, a special edition T-shirt and a limited run of 1/24th scale die cast models of the unique race truck will be available for auction online through E-bay Giving Works with all proceeds going to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. In the week following the October 6th race, a series of online charity auctions will go live. The auctions will include model trucks and T-shirts autographed by Claw and Piquet Jr. The centerpiece of the auction will be the actual hood of the #30 truck, straight from Talladega, also signed by Claw and Piquet Jr.

“I’m both excited and thrilled to have been asked to participate in this project, especially considering the ultimate objective of breast cancer awareness and the fundraising aspect,” said Claw of the collaboration.

“I am always looking for new ways to apply my art and spread my message in a new context or medium, so this project was a win/win. Seeing my work executed in a racing context and speeding around the Talladega Superspeedway… I can’t wait. Nelson is such a unique driver in NASCAR and Alpinestars has such an amazing legacy in racing, we’re all ideal partners. It’s been great and I look forward to seeing whatkind of contributions we can bring to the fight against breast cancer,” she said.

Said Piquet Jr., “It’s definitely a different approach to awareness, but I think fans will love it. I’m excited to have the opportunity to work with Alpinestars and Claw Money, especiallyconsidering we are raising awareness for breast cancer. I’m also excited about the fact that fans can play a role by participating in our auction of the truck hood of and the other items, with all proceeds going to charity. Everyone involved has been so motivated because of the cause, so hopefully it will pay off and we can make a trip to victory lane in this special truck.”
