Joshua Vides came through with another banger, bringing his signature black-and-white aesthetic to LA with his latest exhibition, Check Engine Light. The show was a full-on immersive experience, blurring the lines between art and reality—something Vides has mastered over the years.

At the heart of the exhibit were three cars—a Porsche, a Honda, and a Mercedes—all hand-painted in Vides’ signature sketch-style design. The whole space carried that same energy, making you feel like you stepped straight into one of his illustrations.

A couple of our homies pulled up to check it out at different times—Erok and Agus both came through and snapped some flicks. I made my way over on a different day with my boy Hansel, aka Leen Customs, to take it all in. Seeing the way Joshua blends his love for art and car culture firsthand just hits different.

The exhibition may be over, but Check Engine Light was one for the books. If you missed it, just know Joshua keeps leveling up—so best believe the next one is gonna be even crazier.
