Days 3 & 4: Hiawassee to Atlanta – Car Culture, Rides, and Surprises
On Day 3, Junney and his cousin Justin made a 2-hour drive to Hiawassee, Georgia, where they were warmly welcomed by Alex Lim (@alexlim3) and his father, Koo Lim (@koolim1). The Lims opened their home and proudly showcased their collection of cars, including the standout, Koo’s 993 RWB Cabriolet. Along with a gold-plated AK-47, the collection was full of fascinating stories, including Koo’s tale of his Toyota Supra, a car that’s been part of family milestones, like meeting his wife and rushing her to the hospital for their son Alex’s birth.
The day continued with a photoshoot featuring the 993 RWB Cabriolet at Chatuge Lake, followed by a trip to a hidden lookout in South Carolina for sunset shots. As if the day couldn’t get better, Junney got the chance to drive the iconic R32 GTR around town, a thrilling experience made possible by Koo and Alex’s generous hospitality.
Day 4 began with lunch at Urban Hai with his cousin Sylina, where they enjoyed comforting Chinese dishes. That evening, Junney met up with Yusuf and Akhmed from Untamed, sparking conversations about the old Fatlace and blogging days. The night wrapped up with an epic downtown Atlanta photoshoot, and in a surprise twist, Junney witnessed a group of BASE jumpers leaping off a skyscraper—an unexpected but unforgettable end to the day.
