Yesterday, the team and I had the chance to attend the Toyo Tires Annual Shutterspace event, a must-see for anyone who loves cars and photography. Usually held at Ancillary Studios in Costa Mesa, this year’s event took on a new life in the Arts District of Los Angeles. The change of venue brought a fresh vibe, blending the gritty, urban energy of LA with the sleek, high-performance cars on display.
We rolled up just as the sun was setting, and the parking lot was already packed with show cars rocking Toyo Tires. The outdoor setup showcased some impressive vehicles, but the real showstoppers were inside. Toyo made great use of the indoor space, where they featured the Shutterspace photo exhibition along with select heavy hitters, like our buddy Bret from Import Expo with his NSX, fully equipped with a JGTC kit. Bret’s car really stood out, with its aggressive styling and unique setup, making it a highlight of the indoor display.
Our friends from Genesis 1 Auto Concept also made an appearance, bringing along a few of their standout builds. Their cars added even more variety to the already impressive lineup, showcasing their signature style and craftsmanship.
The best part of the night was hanging out with friends from the industry and catching up with everyone. It’s always good to reconnect with people who share the same passion. Toyo Tires knows how to put on a solid event. The car selection, the atmosphere, and the overall experience made it a night to remember. A few of our team members are already planning to enter the photo competition next year, inspired by the amazing shots on display this time around.
Big shout-out to Stan, John P, Allen and the rest of the Toyo team for putting together such a fantastic event. Your hard work and dedication really showed, and it made for an unforgettable evening.
Congrats to Minh Truong for winning the photo contest.
