“Friday evening…? No? Well what about Thursday evening? That doesn’t work either? Well I guess we’re stuck with Friday morning at sun rise. We’ll meet at the galleria Starbucks and drive from there.”

It’s been a long minute since I have done a photo shoot at sunrise and I remember why… it’s too damn early.

A morning shoot was our only option due to my busy schedule and his spring break. I was leaving for Austin in the morning and he was leaving for Austin when I was getting back. But I’m pretty glad we got to do it so early. It is a different change of pace where you are racing against the sun coming up.

I have actually know David for a while now. We went to Chinese Youth Camp together as kids. We were never really best friends but after discovering our love for the automotive scene, we’ve gained even more respect for each other.

David loves his TSX just like every other tuner – so much so – that he actually leaves it here in Houston when he goes to school in Austin. This baby only gets to see the sunlight during school breaks and the summer. It all works out though because those are the peak times to stunt right?

His car used to be recognized for his multicolored wheels – which is actually how I noticed it. Although it was nice back then, it wasn’t until he got these Work XD9’s that I really believe he found the perfect wheels. I absolutely love the black/bronze color scheme. It is elegant, sleek and just plain sexy. It screams subtle but grabs your attention with simplicity.

In closing, David has shown us that in a world where everything has become about who has what or what more can be done, sometimes simplicity is the best answer. With his slightly tucked wheels and negative camber, it gives it a fierce clean look. As perfect that we can all wish our cars to be, a scraped bumper can give a car some character. What’s funny is that he was already rocking a Hellaflush license plate holder. Enjoy David’s clean cut Acura TSX.
