This was the first weekend spent at home in Long Beach in over a month. So when I heard via Twitter that the Japanese Classic Car Show was going on in Long Beach I had to check it out since I was actually in town. We arrived with about 30-40 minutes left in the show and thanks to Eddie at Mackin we got right in and had no time to spare for a chance to see everything. It was my first time at one of these events and I was immediately impressed and inspired by the collection of classic beauties set amongst perfect weather with the Queen Mary in the backdrop.

There’s something special about a classic car from the history, the rareness, and more importantly the stories. Each owner seemed to have a special bond with their vehicle, one that possible has lasted longer than I’ve been around. The JCCS show gives these owners a chance to share their stories and passion with other owners and enthusiasts. I wish I could have stayed longer and met more people and learned more about these vehicles, but there’s always next year.

Here are some shots from the event…I was really attracted to the Datsuns sitting in the corner of the show for some reason.
