The news this week that we lost two beautiful human beings hits hard, and people all over the world are grieving. So many of us have been touched personally by them, whether it was the high of proudly owning our first designer handbag at the start of a shiny new career or sharing a great dinner with friends in a lively setting, surrounded with laughter, conversation and the noise of clinking glasses. Their love for their craft was shared with the world, giving us a piece of themselves and saturating us all with their passion, as if we, ourselves could feel and be, just like them.
But underneath what appears to be success is not always real. We’re all fighting to survive, some just more than others.
As a handbag designer and a self-proclaimed foodie, I am doubly sad about the events of the past few days. And if I can impart anything from this, it is this quote:
The storm is an artist; the rainbow is its masterpiece. – Matshona Dhliwayo
Thank you both for bringing so many rainbows to our world. Be free. Your ultimate masterpiece awaits.
