This past weekend, I had the chance to check out Wekfest LA, thanks to my friend Joey Lee, aka Stickydiljoe, who invited me. Joey had something special lined up—the debut of the first street version of the Voltex Racing GR86. Along with the car, there was a collaboration t-shirt release to commemorate the partnership, which was a cool touch.
The event was a great opportunity to catch up with old friends and meet some new faces. I ran into friends from LA, connected with new homies from the Bay like Chris from Darkside Racing and Ethan with the black RWB 930 from San Jose. The variety of cars was awesome, including some monster truck builds from our friend Stephan from Delta 9 Expedition.
It was also great to see Adams Polishes out there and catch up with the OG Freddie and his family from Auto Fashion. Toyo Tires brought their rig and some heavy hitters, while Obsessed had a strong presence too. Both added to the overall energy of the event.
Huge congrats to all my homies that won that day! And big shoutout to the Wekfest fam—Will, Ken, John, David, Salem, Joey, and Nana—for putting on another great show. It’s been a while since I’ve been, but it felt good to be back. We’ll see if we join the next tour—either way, it was a fun weekend.
