All roads lead to the SM MOA Concert Grounds this Sunday, November 29 as Sole Academy will hold its first ever Sneaker Carnival. Being a whole-day lifestyle event, the schedule of festivities will cement the stature of the Philippines in the global sneaker scene. Here are some of the attractions that are on-board for the Carnival.
#SneakerLifeStyle
With more than 30+ exclusive releases happening on the 29th, this is the biggest sneaker-release-event in one day. What’s good is that these silhouettes aren’t focused on one brand, as several Q4 sneakers from different labels are scheduled to be sold at the event. Speaking of silhouettes, feast your senses with these familiar shapes – as these serve as a sneak preview on what’s to come. Another first of its kind in Manila are the ‘heritage booths’, these are designed like shoe boxes that will showcase different technologies and design elements that makes their brand unique. Nike, adidas, Reebok, New Balance, Asics, and Puma are all signed up for this so it is exciting on how these brands will present their products.
#SOLEmusic
Sole Music gathers some of the best Filipino musicians under one roof for the whole day. Bands and solo performers are set – but as a big fan of EDM, it’s exciting to catch my favorite DJ’s spin it out.
#ARTandSole
Creative minds convene as Sole Academy will be gathering mixed art pieces for the event. Inspired by the very visually pleasing sneaker-lifestyle, it will be interesting to see a whole new breed of local artists. Whether it is traditional or digital art, these artists are set for the global stage.
#10KDaSH
A class on its own. The 10k dash is how the local sneaker-lifestyle-community will give back to the less fortunate citizens, as they will be accepting sneaker donations for the day. The goal has been set at 10,000 pairs! As a feel-good lifestyle event, this is something I look forward to.
#FoodtheSole
Premium food chains are all signed up for the day, completing the whole day festival. An emerging name in gathering food bazaars will be there – Gourmand Market. What I foresee is guests’ photos with their artistic approaches on food and sneakers.
Coverage
The guys from Sneaker News will be in town to cover the event, it is perfect to have these guys on board as the emerging Philippine sneaker scene needs more global exposure. An exclusive collaboration between SN and SA is also under the way for this tie-up. With several lifestyle blogs and television networks scheduled to cover the event, expect fashionable and notable names in the sneaker industry as guests on the 29th.
Best of luck to the guys at Sole Academy. #BestInClass
