It was overdue.
Common is expected to release a new album this fall titled, “The Dreamer, The Believer.” While there hasn’t be a set date announced for the album, the first single has been released. “Ghetto Dreams,” features one of hip-hop’s prolific artists, Nas, and is produced by No I.D. The track has a certain nostalgic feel to it, as older folks will enjoy its raw 90s’ hip-hop sound.
In addition to the song, the duo decided to stress the single further by releasing a video to accompany the song.
If the rest of the album is anything like this track, perhaps it will start a revival of that “old school” sound we miss.
