I grew up listening to what everyone will consider the days of rap. Brand Nubian, made up of Grand Puba, Sadat X, and Lord Jamar, was one of the best groups in the 90s. Their socially conscious lyrics along with classic beats killed it at all the parties I dj’d at. I actually used to save their songs and dropped them when the party was packed. It was part of my special crate.

This song I always look back and humble myself with.

And you can’t forget this. Punks jump up to get beat down.

After the group broke up, I still followed Grand Puba and he dropped “I Like It”. Another party favorite. The instrumental was used and sampled alot.
