Twas the night before tsismis and all through the Bay
Not a homeboy was creepin, not even Mr. Suave
The lumpias were rolled and the fridge full of beer
While all the Filipinos crammed into church for the first time all year

The children were spiffy, grown ones in their best
While visions of presents and eats danced in their heads
Mom in her fur and Pop in his kangol
All waiting for Father to say AMEN, MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!

The herd ventured out into the cold, crispy air
To head back to the house for some sopas…and chairs
The ladies sipped wine, the men talked ’bout Niners
How that old feel is back and being a Niner there’s nothing finer!

With laughing and cheering and kids running amok
The love in the air reminiscent of last year’s Giant luck
Trees, lights, parols and the smell of lumpia frying
There’s nothing like Christmas at a Filipino family gathering

So to all I bid jolly, send my love, topped a cherry
This year has been blessed with infinity merry
The Bay, with the makers and shakers, the countless inspirators
I wish you all MALIGAYANG PASKO from the bottom of my derry!
