Skillshare, the online learning platform for creatives, freelancers, and entrepreneurs, has announced a collaboration with Jeff Staple. The two have joined forces to produce a three-week workshop that guides participants through the process of designing and launching their own fashion brand.
Through the workshop Jeff will share the knowledge he has acquired over his long career with the next generation of designers. The Jeff Staple x Skillshare workshop encompasses 3 online courses, all taught by Jeff himself, where students will get the skills they need to create two clothing items and packaging that represents their own brand’s aesthetic.
The online courses include:
Class 1: The Staples of Branding: Building a Company from Purpose to Product
Class 2: The Definitive Guide to T-Shirt Design and Manufacturing
Class 3: Packaging Your Fashion Brand: Developing Hashtags, Labels, and More
Students of the Jeff Staple x Skillshare workshop will be encouraged to submit the projects associated with completion of each class. At the end of the workshop (Mon. July 16), a panel of judges will select 3 finalists from the submitted projects who will receive the following:
• Booth space to display their brand at the fashion tradeshow, Agenda Show, in Las Vegas (Aug. 13-15).
• Roundtrip airfare and hotel accommodations during the Agenda show
• Up to $10,000 in prize money to help launch their brand
