This past weekend, the Mobil1 Air & Water Show took over Costa Mesa—and even with the rain making an appearance, the event didn’t miss a beat. While many shows might struggle with bad weather, this one proved how far thoughtful planning and great energy can carry things.

What really made this event stand out was the layout and display curation. The cars weren’t crammed together like you often see. Instead, the space was deliberately spread out, giving each build room to shine and the audience room to breathe. From multimillion-dollar auction builds to track-built race cars, off-road Porsches, and vintage icons—every section was intentional.

A huge shoutout to Jeff Zwart and team for the curation. The balance of performance, history, and aesthetics was unmatched. Walking through the show felt like flipping through the pages of a high-end automotive magazine—except you were in it.

The vendor presence was strong, too. There were creative activations all around, including a mini golf setup by one of the featured vendors, Leen Customs, which gave the event a laid-back, community feel in between admiring the incredible lineup of cars.

Overall, Air & Water exceeded expectations—an elite-level car show with casual comfort and great vibes. Rain or not, it delivered across the board.
