Camouflage is actually technical, functional and as has become fashionable over the years, adorning soldiers, ships, planes, cars and of course from fashion on the runway to the street…. A great read/study about camouflage is a book that I own and love is called DPM – Disruptive Pattern Material: An Encyclopaedia of Camouflage: Nature, Military and Culture
If you know me/seen me over the years at events, media, blog, etc. YOU KNOW that I wear camo shorts ALOT like almost EVERY day, basically they’re cut off camo pants it’s seriously kind of my uniform…
I like the durability, the comfort and the functionality of camo, the design, etc. Function = Fashion for me…
Over the years I’ve ran standard woodland camo, digital woodland, tiger stripe and currently running whats called Multi Cam
Makers of some serious apparel Since 1950, ATLANCO® has been one of the leading suppliers of personal equipment, material and uniforms to the military, law enforcement and public safety markets. As they say “For the TRU professional”

Thanks again Tru Spec by Atlanco…
Im in the Army and thats almost to the Tee what they issue us. Guys in my unit spend hundreds in replacing their standard issue with TRU SPEC. Good shit he speaks the truth! It’s what we like to call “high speed” equipment. Funny thing is, companies like these had almost zero market on 9/10/01. Stocks quadrupled (sp) after 9/11…
Good stuff!
I had a question for stovetop ^ at what point after basic training and AIT do you get to start spending your money and personalizing your gear/buying new stuff? Always wondered because I hear about guys buying there own optics for their guns, their own backpacks, & other gear that they prefer. Does it have to be a pproved and/or do you have to have certain qualifications to purchase your own gear?
nah, u can start getting all that stuff after AIT. Most of the M4 attachments are approved and what not, as long as its the uniform pattern a lot of the aftermarket stuff is authorized. Any rank can buy the stuff… Then again it all comes down to ur unit, they may not approve….. Big wigs usually rebuy better stuff cus they got the money, dont even touch their issued gear lol
