As an artist I feel like the best way to create is to “commit to the line”.  When drawing with a pen (no initial pencil sketch) you have to use a lot more concentration and control which develops your drawing style and technique.  Pen renderings don’t allow you to make mistakes and similar to Bboys & Bgirls getting down on the floor and having to perform flawlessly, pen drawings are also the art of improvisation.  Bboy characters are one of my favorite subject matters to draw.  The soul of a bboy character comes from the facial expressions and the pose and often I reflect on Bboys and Bgirls I have met in the past.
