Westward bound for a San Diego weekend, a quick in & out…

You may be asking WHY IS MY LIFE LIKE A BEER FEST?!?!?!

I tweeted & facebooked the other day saying my life is a beer fest, I do feel that way only because:
It’s not just because I drink alot of good beer, its because beer fests USUALLY have everything I enjoy, family, good friends, good vibe, sun, fun, music, good food, enjoying the fruit of the labor of another person or crew, the enjoyment and satisfaction of it all…
So in that matter I feel my life is a beer fest, yeah it has some bad beers, some broken glasses, some bitters and sours but overall it’s hoppy goodness that is good til that last drop!!!!!!

So here it is the reason we headed to San Diego, the Stone Brewing 15 year anniversary beer fest!
Here’s my homie Mike who I’ve know longer than ANYBODY outside of blood relatives of course…

I don’t know if Greg invented #GregFace I believe it could be JRodFace as well… oh well it’s STOKED FACE!

There she is the 15th Anniversary Escondidian Imperial Black IPA, on CASK!!!!! Yum!

We had access to rare beers, some banger reserves… too many good ones to recall…

My homie Mike & I, since the 4th grade I’ve known dude…

I can’t recall what beer it was some 2004 barleywine with a cuban pork sandwich and some bangin octopus ceviche, yeah!

I miss San Diego on days like this!

myself, Joe, Mike, Jessie and the dude on the far right Garrett owns Maui Brewing Company, go support a homie & buy Maui Brewing beer like now!!!!!!!!!

My buddy Chris that works at Stone been working on this event for 10 years, organizing the whole shindig he NEVER got to drink at it until Session B, cheers!

Here’s Greg Koch (pronounced like Cook) and his signature #GregFace my weak face, he sprung it on me… He’s CEO & Co-Founder of Stone Brewing, congrats Greg… from a wee lad growing up in Poway, I’ve seen Stone over the years grow from an Arrogant Bastard straight out the gate to a behemoth in the beer world, in ironically a humble attitude with an in your face hoppyness…
So Stoked and proud of Stone Brewing & all Craft Brewers and breweries across the globe and especially San Diego!!!!

Dinner at another childhood friends Dave and his lovely wife, for some Carne asada backyard BBQ stoked!

Take a lot of little 7 oz beers to fill up a HUGE mug!

Smashed some carne, corn, SPICY rice with a nice convo, great laughs, just overall a GREAT DAY & EVENING!
Washed it down with a brew from our hometown of Poway, Lightning Brewery Thunderweizen Ale…
That night we had some bangers!

Stone 15th Imperial Black IPA of course since they couldnt be there with us…
And lastly The Bruery’s Saison de Lente
Yeah we drink GOOD BEERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So I leave ya with Parker just chilling enjoying a beer himself……. a root beer that is!
Geez come one people, ya think I’d give my kid a beer?!?!?!
