For part 4 of my Offset Kings Japan coverage, I will be focusing on the Toyota’s from the show. Since the VIP styled cars are classified in a separate post, expect the notable classics and drift cars here. Enjoy the photos.
Takuya Takahashi has been in the 80’s Corolla scene eversince. He brought in his Levin with SSR Long Champ’s 13 x 9 -26 on Advan A050 175/60 tires up front, 13 x 10 -36 with Dunlop LM703 215/50 on the rear.
This was also the same car I shot during last year’s show. Glad to be always in touch with these guys.
Nicely executed engine bay with the 20V. He also runs with the Idlers crew in this.
Another AE during the show, Yusuke Sakurai brought his Trueno on a staggered set of BBS RS’ ( 15 x 9, 15 x 10 ) wheels.
The level of detail and cleanliness of his engine bay has no match. Perfect!
Hide-ki Nagahama from N-Style custom brought in his KE70’s on Work Meister’s. Specs are 15 x 9 -20 on 185/45/15 tires up front, and 15 x 10 -20 with 195/45/15 tires on the rear. Would love to work on a solo feature of this car soon!

I also took time to check out a smaller track within Fuji Speedway. A drift event was organized by Drift Tribe.
Reverse entry or what? You be the judge. These guys ran balls out.
It felt so good because it was my first time to experience grassroots drifting. Memories of the good old video “Ebisu: The Soul of Drift” from 2009 flash-backed.
Most of the cars were Toyota’s.
This maroon Chaser gave me the chills as he drifted the whole track in a singular run including reverse entries everywhere!

The parking lot of the event also had several nice cars.
This Mark II was my favorite. Kanagawa drift styling to the max!

My good friend Akira Bitou brought his Prius this year. It sat just right with his air suspension and Otas Cars camber plates.
It was a different take compared to what he brought last year, a drift spec 180SX.
The XW30 had a set of 3 piece Work Meister‘s S1 3P 18×9J ＋43 up front, 18×9J ＋30 on the rear with 215/35 tires all around.
This or his Silvia? Hard choice as both of the cars looks good. Congrats on the new car buddy!
Kazuki Tamura JZX100 was also at the show with Work VS-KF’s 18 x 9 (effective offset 16) with 205/35’s tires and 18 x 10 (effective offset 13) with 215/35 tires.
The Traum body kit worked well with his style. 2 thumbs up!
