The 75th Annual Nisei Festival and Parade was the #ILLEST! Unlike most of what we experience for the first time, this Nisei Festival was actually both entertaining and a pleasure to be a part of! Nisei Fest consists of musical performances, cultural dance showcases, exclusive Nisei-only eats, car-show and my personal favorite; Parade! As our street within Little Tokyo started to get blocked off for the festivities, the #ILLESTLA team and I were fortunate to get VIP front row seats, or should I say standing on our store’s bench, lol, don’t tell Mark. Seriously.

Anyway, We enjoyed seeing War Veterans, the winners of the weekend car show, cosplayers, community representatives and last but not least the LAAAADIES participating in the Nisei Beauty Pageant! The block filled up with the quickness, luckily for all you that were absent, here is a fine photography collection by Illest Brand associate: Sean_Mac (Instagram / Twitter) Give him a follow, you may regret it. (JUST KIDDING, SEAN…) Enjoy:

Again, we can’t thank y’all enough for stopping by the Illest Boutique, Los Angeles and enjoying our Nisei Sale, tunes by DJ BSTANG, and refreshments by Jarritos, shout-out to the plug one-time. And big shout-out to Von for creating the artwork for these exclusive Illest X Nisei only bumper stickers. 100 pieces only!

nisei-6Again, congratulations to the Nisei Foundation for their 75th successful parade and festival! Thanks again to those who passed by the shop, we do this for y’all! Until next time, thanks for reading my words!

“SWERVE!”

(I just felt like typing that.)
