We’ve been immersed in a lot of exciting coverage lately, but this build stands out for all the right reasons. It’s not just about the car it’s about the culture, the history, and the timeless originality that Nakai-san brings to every RWB (RAUH-Welt Begriff) project. For those of you who’ve been following along, you know the impact RWB has had on the car scene, and we’ve documented plenty of it here on Fatlace. Now, it feels like that golden era is making a comeback. Yes, you heard it here first—history is repeating itself, and we’re right in the middle of it.

I wasn’t there for the very first RWB USA build, but like many of you, I followed it closely. Fast forward 13 years, and here we are, back in the shop with Nakai-san, working on Mark’s Arcenal 1990 Carrera 964 Cabriolet. It’s moments like this that remind us RWB doesn’t just build cars it originally makes history, again and again. And we’re fortunate to witness it on a platform many of us grew up with.

What really stood out during this build was the atmosphere. In the past, you’d expect a large crowd gathering around Nakai-san, eager to watch every step. But this time, it was all about keeping things low-key. A small group of close friends helped out, respecting the space and the process. The vibe was chill, relaxed, and intimate it allowed us to appreciate the craft, work together, and connect with Nakai-san on a personal level. It wasn’t just about the build; it was about camaraderie and creating something memorable.

Nakai-san finished the build in just one day. The only hold-up was swapping the tires to perfect the fitment, as Mark wanted to drop the car low. We ended up fitting a fresh set of Toyo tires, and the result was nothing short of perfection. Mark’s 964 now sits on custom Motegi wheels wrapped in R888s, and it’s as clean as it gets.

Like every RWB build, this one tells its own unique story, and it’s a testament to the originality and vision that Nakai-san brings to every project. Huge thanks to Mark and Nakai-san for allowing us to be part of this incredible journey.

Stay tuned for more builds, and as always, thanks for rolling with us.
