As much as I enjoy seeing people pushing the limits with their fitment and stretch & poke, it’s cool to see someone enjoying the best of both worlds. Troy Jenkins is one of those people, and on Friday I caught up with him to take a few quick shots to share on here.

Troy actually competes with this car in New Zealand’s National drifting competition series ‘D1NZ’ in the Pro Am class. Considering Troy is only 21 years of age, I think that is pretty awesome! His S15 has been built up with some quality parts and his fitment is tough yet functional, which definitely appeals to me.

The Work Bersaglio wheels you see here are 18 x 9.5 +19 in the front and 18 x 10.5 +19 in the rear. Troy runs 225/40/18 and 235/35/18 tyres which give a good amount of stretch while still being suitable for the track.

Digging the D-Max glitter carbon bonnet.

The D-Max wide front and rear fenders (+35mm and +55mm) pump the body out nicely. I’m a fan of the Supermade duck tail wing and the D-Max roof wing combo too.

The interior has been stripped and equipped with the basics. A 6-point roll-cage, OMP deep dish steering wheel, Part Shop Max gear knob, Sparco foot pedals…

…as well as a pair of Bride Zeta III Low Max buckets and Takata harnesses.

Overall this is a great example of one of our cleanest Pro Am builds. Although Troy has built this car with the pure intention of driving it sideways, it’s cool that he has taken the time to put his own personal touches into the car and make it look good too. Looking forward to seeing more of Troy and his car at future New Zealand drifting events!
