I’m starting a new project this summer highlighting my favorite local businesses by launching a new “Fatlace Approved” program. Not only will the business receive a Fatlace seal of approval, but a write up as well explaining why I like this place. Yelp is an ok resource to figure out where to eat, but I don’t think it does a good job showcasing people what makes the business special or stand out. This not only is a good way to introduce the Fatlace brand to other local businesses, but it’s a great way to give them a voice and a platform to be heard.

If you ever find yourself in San Francisco, you have to drop by Boba Guys in either of their three locations for some of the best milk tea in the Bay Area. You can’t go wrong with anything on their menu, from the basics like jasmine milk tea to their strawberry match latte, Boba Guys will soon leave you planning your next trip back.

You can easily taste the quality in their tea. What many other places lack is consistency in their drinks. What Boba Guys do well is maintain that same flavor you fell in love with the first time, over and over again with every visit. It must be a combination of their process and high-quality ingredients that really separates them from the competition. BG3
And how’s their boba? C’mon, their called Boba Guys for reason. They got that sh** on lock; it’s not too sweet, not too chewy, not too soft, it’s perfect. Due to some unexpected growth in my mid section (that’s just me being in denial for getting fat), I had to cut down on getting tapioca/ boba in my drinks but I can never resist when I go to Boba Guys.

I think I inadvertently shot an interior design post instead covering the tea. Similar to how well their teas are balanced, the overall look of their new shop creates a very cozy, clean, and Pinterest worthy eye candy environment. The aesthetics of their newest location in Hayes Valley is similar to that of an Apple Store with the harmonious blend of wood, steel, and glass.

A SPIRAL STAIR CASE IN A MILK TEA SHOP?! STAHP IT.

BEAKERS FOR CUPS AND NEON SIGNS?! Too dope.

Want some for later? Don’t worry they got your back. They are the only place I know that has fresh bottled milk tea.

Wondering what to get? I recommend starting with the basic such as jasmine or classic milk tea to get a base-line gauge of the flavors in their tea and boba. I have recently found myself ordering the strawberry matcha latte because I love the blend of the strawberry puree and the matcha. However, my usual goto is the Hong Kong style milk tea because the regular milk is substituted for condensed milk.

Need to get some work or studying done? No problem, they have wi-fi. If you’re a Pokemon trainer seeking to level up, they got lures setup too!

Parking can be hard to find, but since you’re in Hayes Valley there are many interesting things to see along the way.

If you’re ever around the Bay, keep your eyes peeled for the “Fatlace Approved” stickers. Through this we can share places we enjoy with you.
